Hi, this is Zareen Khimani, I’m a licensed Mental Health Counselor, from the state of Florida. With over 6 years of counseling experience committed to providing practical help to achieve optimal mental health via professional guidance and support. I have helped individuals from young children to adults and families struggling with issues related to trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, alcohol/drug use, and many other mental health problems. I am highly approachable and sincerely care about helping you gain insight while developing the skills necessary to cope with your problems independently. I have also helped individuals regarding their relationship issues guiding them on how to set healthy boundaries, manage anger and become more assertive in life. I work with parents struggling with their children, by helping them develop a positive parenting style to discipline their children. In my therapy sessions, we will be connected via a client-centered collaborative approach to reveal your strengths, grab opportunities, cope with life challenges and build a deeper understanding of yourself. My goal is to provide support, and empowerment and give you tools to foster growth and wellness by helping you increase your insight and develop healthy behaviors. In our sessions together, we will collaborate to establish goals to work towards over the course of treatment.

We will bridge the gap between those long-standing behavior and odd perceptions that may have restrained you from experiencing a meaningful life.

I serve as a solution-focused therapist whose aim is to help you discover your true potential and lead a worth celebrating life. Based on your specific needs, I use a wide variety of treatment modalities and interventions based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Approach, and mindfulness-based interventions. In general, my counseling approach is warm, open-minded, goal-oriented, empowering, and direct.

I promise to offer a safe and confidential space for you to be open without fear of judgment. All sessions are offered online through a private HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. You will find me the most approachable, empathetic, non-judgmental, easy to talk to, and relatable individual. The therapeutic relationship is one of my biggest strengths as a therapist, I have faith in building rapport and providing support that you need for your specific needs. Not in the slightest. People who consider help and ask when they need it, are courageous to reach out. Every individual needs mental care now or then. It is a matter of professional care. There is a difference between someone who can do something for you, and I get the training and experience to do that same but professionally. Consider a mental health professional that can help you approach your condition in a effective and efficient way. Furthermore, counseling is absolutely safe and confidential. Counseling ease you not to worry about others “knowing my business.”
